1. Who runs these awards and how does this work? Compass Intelligence or compassintel.com, an 18+ year old tech market research firm based in Texas runs these awards and has been running awards programs for more than 12 years across mobile, IoT, smart cities, emerging tech, and other categories. As part of this awards program, Step 1: Nominations come in online, Step 2: validation of nominations are made & voting takes place by a group of selected anonymous, vetted leaders, Step 3: award recipients are notified and voting is completed, Step 4: Announcement is made through a press release and marketing/media campaign and to our network of 20K+ contacts through our social channels, newsletters, and website.
2. ​Does it cost to nominate? No fees are required for nominations to be submitted. You will not be charged any fees to participate.
3. Can I nominate in more than one category? Yes, you may nominate in more than one category.
4. Do I have to pay for marketing or licensing of the award if I win? We have awards licensing and promotional packages ranging from FREE to $2K(USD) depending on the level of promotion, the use of custom award badges, and other services to promote the award through your own marketing channels including your website, social media, newsletters, marketing collateral, etc. Award recipients will be notified in advance and have time to review options before the press release goes out.
5. Who are the voters for these awards? Award voters include industry analysts, consultants, tech journal editors, independent thought leaders and executives including those from Compass Intelligence and other 3rd party firms, agencies, and media outlets. We will not share the names of these voters to provide a fair and balanced approach to the voting process. We do validate their level of expertise, knowledge, and credentials prior to approving voters to be a part of our program. We reserve the right to remove or add voters on an annual basis.
6. Can I send additional materials and support information for my award submission? Yes, you may provide additional information such as presentations, use cases, articles, and other materials directly to [email protected]
7. Who can nominate? Nominations typically come in from PR firms/agencies, marketing executives, product managers, business owners, analysts, editors, journalists, business partners, and other executives within a company or agency. Please note, there are times when companies are nominated and are unaware as these nominations generally come in from editors, writers, analysts, and journalists. We do not disclose the names of those who submit nominations to keep anonymity for purposes of removing as much bias in the voting process as we can.
8. How does Compass Intelligence and autoXreport market the award winners? A press release will be issued through PRweb or PR.com and Cision, along with promotion through our own newsletter called Inside Mobile (5K+ tech leaders/executives), posting through our own website(s) and social channels (LinkedIn and Twitter), sharing the news at events and media interviews, and other marketing channels. Our reach expands to 100K+ monthly through all our marketing channels with 20K+ industry contacts. In addition, the awards will be included in our 2024 autoXreport survey and market research materials, sponsored by the top companies in the industry. 9. Can I share the news on my own website if I am an award winner? A marketing/promotional and licensing package must be in place in order to share links, use images, use logos, use award badges, or share/promote the award news on your own marketing channels. We will be sharing details of the PROMOTIONAL PACKAGES in advance of the press release so award recipients can plan ahead. There will be FREE or complimentary options available for award recipients, and packages that start at $1K and may go up to 2K depending on what you select. We do have a full marketing agency on hand for press release writing, editing, graphic design, logo design, and other services.
10. What are the important dates for this awards program? Nominations open early January & take place for the entire month of January, Voting is staggered and begin in late January, and award winners are contacted close to the press release date. The press release will be shared in advance to all awardees. Please confirm the name of your company or organization for how you want it included and listed in the press release. The 2024 press release will go out at 8AM EST on February 22nd.
